The U.S. Department of Agriculture has dropped several members of the industry from a Perishables Agricultural Commodities Act against Adams Produce Co. LLC.

Adams,Birmingham, Ala., failed to pay $10.74 million to 51 sellers for 9,314 lots of produce, according to a news release. On Feb 20, the USDA reported it had deemed Michael S. Rawlings, Drew Johnson and Jonathan Dyer were not “responsibly connected” members of Adams.

The three men disputed their connection to the case, and the USDA has ruled they can continue can be employed by and affiliated with PACA licensees.

USDA’s initial determination that Steve Alexander, API Holdings LLC, Scott Grinstead and Steve Finberg are responsibly connected have has not changed, according to the release.

Finberg’s challenge to his responsibly connected status continues, according to the USDA.
