The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee will meet in January.
The meeting, set for Jan. 30-31, will be held at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City Hotel in Arlington, Va., according to a news release. The hours of the meeting will be 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 30 and 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 31.

USDA established the fruit and vegetable committee in 2001 to look at issues facing the fruit and vegetable industry and create a forum to provide suggestions and ideas to the department on ways to improve programs to meet the changing needs of the produce industry, according to the agency.
