The U.S. Department of Agriculture has imposed sanctions on businesses in Florida, Michigan and Texas for violations of the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act.

The USDA has suspended PACA licenses and barred principal operators from “engaging in PACA-licensed business or other activities without approval from the USDA,” according to a news release.

The businesses and principals, according to the release are:

  • Farm Fresh Packers LLC, Pompano Beach, Fla., for not paying $120,947 to a North Carolina seller. As of the issuance date of the reparation order, Miranda M. Pfaff was listed as a member of the business. Another principal, Jeff Pfaff, has challenged his responsibly connected status.
  • Ciaccio Produce Co. LLC, Brighton, Mich., for not paying $29,447 to a Michigan seller. As of the issuance date of the reparation order, Anthony S. Gelardi III was listed as a member of the business.
  • Martinez Fresh Produce LLC, Dallas, for not paying $24,669 award to an Arizona seller. Arturo Martinez Isguerra was listed as a member of the business.
