The U.S. Department of Agriculture has sanctioned produce businesses in Florida and Texas for failure to pay reparations issues under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act.

The following businesses/individuals are restricted from operating in the produce industry, according to a USDA news release:

The Big Red Barn LLC, Riverview, Fla., for failing to pay $13,545 to a Minnesota seller. Christopher Phillips was listed as a member of the business when the reparation order was issued.

Lunas Produce & Trucking Inc., McAllen, Texas, for failing to pay $19,460 to a California seller. Gabriel A. Luna was listed as the company’s officer, director and major stockholder of the business.
