USDA sanctions two produce companies

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has imposed sanctions on two produce companies which haven’t paid Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act reparation awards.

  • Unified Ltd., doing business as Pan American Banana, Los Angeles, failed to pay an $18,130 award in favor of a California seller, according to a news release. Robin Del Toro and Jose Del Toro Jr. were listed as the officers, directors and/or major stockholders of the business.
  • AOM International Food LLC, Columbus, Ohio, failed to pay a $17,853 award in favor of a California seller, according to the release. Tammy Trinh was listed as a member of the business.
