March 13 is the date for a U.S. Department of Agriculture web listening session that will help the agency gather public comments about a new program to regulate hemp production.
The listening session will give the public a chance to comment on how the USDA can partner with agriculture agencies representing states, territories, and Indian tribes to implement a nationwide program for overseeing the production of industrial hemp, according to a Federal Register notice.
The notice said the web seminar will begin at noon Eastern time and end by 3 p.m. Participants must register by March 11 to speak during the listening session. Online registration is available online.
