Village Farms, Heathrow, Fla., participated in the 15th Annual Cars for the Cure fundraiser for the American Lung Association, handing out snacking tomatoes to the crowd.

The event, Feb. 9 in Lake Mary, Fla., showcases cars from around the world during the family-friendly festival, according to a news release.

Volunteers from Village Farms, a sponsor of the event, handed out almost 2,000 pounds of Heavenly Villagio Marzano tomatoes.

“Participating in an event like this for such a good cause was especially rewarding,” Helen Aquino, director of brand marketing and communications, said in the release. “We truly enjoyed getting out in our community to promote health and wellness and we loved hearing time and time again how much people enjoy the Garden Fresh Flavor of our tomatoes!”
