Forever Fresh LLC has hired Vince Gambero to head its national grape category and expand West Coast sales.
Gambero, who had been the longtime sales manager at Fowler Packing Co., Fresno Calif., will manage the Forever Fresh West Coast sales. Part of that is expanding imports through the Port of Los Angeles and adding U.S. products to the company’s offerings. He has more than 30 years of experience in the industry, according to a Forever Fresh news release.
“In a global marketplace it is important to focus on experience and talent in the sales department equal to that of our growers.” Evan Myers, Forever Fresh general manager, said in the release. “Vince’s long tenure in the industry provides him with deep understanding of not just the grape category, but a variety of commodities that are critical for our success as we grow and expand our domestic and global footprint.”
Forever Fresh is a vertically integrated fruit sales and marketing company that focuses on Peruvian and Chilean grapes, cherries, stone fruit, apples, citrus and kiwi. It is owned by Chilean fruit growers Verfrut and San Francisco Lo Garces.
