The Produce for Better Health Foundation will host a webinar Jan. 23 about how consuming fruits and vegetables correlates with better emotional well-being.

PBH president Wendy Reinhardt Kapsak and University of Pennsylvania behavioral scientist Jason Riis will be the speakers, according to a news release. Riis has written extensively on consumer behavior, food choice and health and has also published studies on happiness.

The webinar will include discussion about emerging research and long-term data regarding the effects of higher produce consumption on overall wellness. Speakers will also examine what the produce industry can learn from behavior change research to encourage consumers to adopt healthy habits.

The presentation is scheduled to last 45-50 minutes, followed by 10-15 minutes for questions.

PBH works with hundreds of industry and government entities with the aim of increasing consumption of fresh, frozen, canned, dried and 100% juice forms of fruits and vegetables.
