West Pak Avocado, Murrieta, Calif., is stepping up its organic category.
The company exhibited at the Southern Innovations Organics and Foodservice Expo Sept. 6-8 in Nashville.
“Our conventional bagged avocado marketing and sales program is off to a great start and the organic versions have taken our overall retail offerings to new heights,” Scott Ross, West Pak’s eastern region sales manager, said in a news release.
The company, which has a certified organic packinghouse, has retail lines of bagged avocados: I Love Avocados Organic (for new ways of enjoying the fruit), California Gold Organic (local Golden State fruit) and LiL’Cados Organic (single-serving fruit).
West Pak plans to launch conventional Lil’Cados and Viva Avocados at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit Oct. 18-20 in Orlando, Fla., according to the release. The California Gold conventional line is set for release in early 2019.
