Sheboygan, Wisc.-based A.J. Wholesale Produce Inc., has been awarded a maximum $48.6 million federal contract to supply fresh fruits and vegetables to schools in two states.
The contract was competitive, with four companies vying for the 54-month contract, according to a news release.
The contract calls on A.J. Wholesale Produce to supply U.S. Department of Agriculture schools and reservations in Michigan and Wisconsin, with a contract completion date of March 9, 2024, according to the release.
The contracting agency is the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, according to the release.
