The Boston Consulting Group and Information Resources Inc. describe The Wonderful Co. as one of the growth leaders in the consumer packaged goods industry.

The new study lists Wonderful as the fastest-growing company among organizations with sales between $1 billion and $5.5 billion.

Wonderful led the midsize category ahead of companies like Cargill, Chobani, Monster, Hostess, Red Bull and Sargento.

Best known for its clementines, pomegranate juice and pistachios, the company also markets Fiji water, Justin wine, almonds, lemons, limes and other citrus.

“More than half of U.S. households already buy a Wonderful product each year, and IRI data in concert with this study clearly demonstrates that our healthy offerings are resonating with consumers," vice president of marketing Adam Cooper said in a news release. “The Wonderful Co. is relentlessly focused on driving healthier eating options. Over the past 10 years, we’ve invested more than $3 billion in capital and $1 billion in marketing and brand building."

In the study, the Boston Consulting Group and IRI examine what fast-growing companies are doing differently. The study concluded such companies do the following: differentiate their offerings, target consumers with greater precision, and complement organic growth with inorganic growth.
