GIUMARRA: Giumarra Cos. is expanding its organic Vidalia onion program this season, working with G&R Farms in Vidalia, Ga., says western business director Kellee Harris. STEMILT: Stemilt Growers Inc. continues to add organic acreage and is now up to about 30% of the company’s overall product, says communications manager Brianna Shales. Marketing director Roger Pepperl says its peach and nectarine programs are 100% organic and will be available through September. He says Stemilt is also testing packages with top-seal rather than clamshells to reduce packaging.

WHOLESUM: Wholesum Family Farms introduced Kaleidos, its variety pack of four baby tomatoes that are Fair Trade and organic, says vice president of marketing Jessie Gunn.
