Litehouse reports growth in organic salad dressings line

Sandpoint, Idaho-based Litehouse has seen the shelf share of its organic line of salad dressings jump by 47% over the past year.

Alison Kellogg, brand manager for Litehouse Organic, said in a news release that greater consumer demand and a stronger presence in organic triggered the growth.

In support of the Litehouse Organic line, the company will be promoting September as Organic Harvest month in several ways. An Organic Harvest Month landing page on the company's website will include a video recipe, information on organic, and tips for consumers. The company's social media accounts will be similarly focused on organic during the month. In certain stores, discounts of one dollar will be given to shoppers who buy any type of Litehouse organic dressing along with organic croutons by Fresh Gourmet.

The company's organic dressings come in six flavors: balsamic, ranch, Caesar, raspberry lime, rosemary balsamic, and ginger with honey. The packaging of the products includes labels of USDA Certified Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, and Gluten-Free Certified. The dressings sell for $5.99 each.
