Del Monte president to step down
Hani El-Naffy, Fresh Del Monte Produce president and chief operating officer, announced he will leave those positions by Feb. 28 of next year.
El-Naffy will remain on Del Monte's board of directors, according to a press release.
The company has yet to name his replacement, although the transition period has already begun.
Fresh Del Monte Produce's CEO Mohammad Abu-Ghazaleh thanked El-Naffy for nearly 20 years of service, as well as his dedication and commitment to the company.
"Hani's day-to-day leadership will be missed, but we are glad that the company will benefit from his participation in the transition process and his plan to continue to serve as a board member," Abu-Ghazaleh said in the release.
