New greens company already giving back

Little Leaf Farms, a baby greens grower-shipper that was founded last fall, recently announced a fresh produce donation program to give back to its community.

The Devens, Mass.-based company will be donating fresh produce to several local food banks including the Greater Boston Food Bank, Beverly Bootstraps, and Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry, according to a press release.

Tim Cunniff, Little Leaf Farm's executive vice president of sales and marketing and one of two co-founders, said the company is committed to doing its part to help those in need.

"Little Leaf Farms is on a mission to help the food insecure community in our own neighborhoods," Cunniff said in the release.

There has been a 21% increase in requests for food assistance across the Eastern Massachusetts community since 2008, according to the Greater Boston Food Bank, and Little Leaf Farm's donation program will help fill that need.
