PRO*ACT hires vice president

Produce supply-chain management company PRO*ACT recently hired Kristie Waters as a third vice president of client development, a newly created position.

Waters assumed her responsibilities Aug. 15 and will be working to promote the benefits of PRO*ACT, build new client relationships and strengthen existing ones, according to a news release.

Waters joined the produce industry in 2002 and has worked for Jacksonville, Fla.-based The Garden Produce and most recently Gulf Coast Produce in Biloxi, Miss., where she was the director of sales.

PRO*ACT's senior vice president of sales, David Peterson, praised Waters' hiring.

"We needed someone to fill this role who understands the industry, has business development experience and relates well with customers," said Peterson in the release. "Kristie fits that bill."
