Kiwifruit group seeks board members

The Kiwifruit Administrative Committee is seeking candidates for its board of directors.

The committee will fill public member and alternate public member positions, according to a news release. The two-year positions run through July 31, 2018.

The group's board has 11 kiwifruit producer members and alternates in addition to one public member and its alternate. It meets three or four times a year via teleconference and at least once a year in person.

Public member candidates must not have any financial interest in the kiwifruit industry.

The Kiwifruit Administrative Committee administers the federal marketing order for kiwifruit.
