There’s a new competitor on the upcoming season of “The Masked Singer” that will have fans wondering if he/she has what it takes to be the top banana.

The new competitor, wearing a banana costume, debuts with five other costumed singers when the show’s third season begins after the Feb. 2 Super Bowl on FOX.

For a month, through mid-February, Fyffes will be putting a sticker of “The Banana” on all bananas to promote the show, according to a news release.
The top-ranked show, whose debut broke records with 17 million viewers, features costumed singers competing against each other in front of panelists Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, Jen Jeong and Robin Thicke.

“Fyffes is thrilled to partner with FOX to introduce the new costume on our bananas,” Marion Tabard, vice president of marketing for Fyffes North America, Coral Gables, Fla., said in the release. “It’s a natural fit for Fyffes to feature ‘The Banana’. We aim to catch the attention of produce shoppers and build excitement for the return of ‘The Masked Singer.’”
