Stemilt suggests organic promos
With plenty of high-flavor apples available this season, Wenatchee, Wash.-based Stemilt Growers LLC wants to work with retailers to put together “big, bold promotions” on organics to drive their organic category beyond the 10% average, said Brianna Shales, senior marketing manager.
“Bulk apples are the big opportunity for organic promotions, and we recommend multiple varieties on ad at one time to move the needle forward,” she said.
Stemilt offers its entire line of the Lil Snappers 3-pound, kid-size fruit program in the Artisan Organics brand and has a value 5-pound pouch bag for organic apple lovers, she said.
“It’s a great solution for an in-and-out to drive up the purchase size for your organic shoppers,” Shales said.
