Ippolito International, Salinas, Calif., has added Lara Grossman and Roberto Ornelas to its sales and marketing staff.

Grossman, Ippolito’s new marketing manager, most recent role in the industry was category manager at Robinson Fresh, where she was for 7 ½ years, also as customer group manager.

She also was at Bayer Cropscience as produce chain manager, and at Tanimura & Antle for almost six years, as director of marketing and business development.

“With her background in both commodity and value-added produce as well as within the organic segment, Lara will continue to strengthen and lead Queen Victoria’s marketing presence within the fresh produce industry,” Dan Canales, senior vice president of sales, marketing and processing, said in a news release.

Ornelas, sales/commodity manager at Ippolito, most recently was at Tanimura & Antle, where he was product manager of specialty crops. He also worked for C.H. Robinson, as account coordinator.

“With his impressive foundation in fresh produce and experience in managing a variety of commodity programs, he’s a strong addition to the Ippolito family and we are excited to have him on board,” Canales said in the release.
