Undeclared allergens lead to limited Ready Pac salad recall
A labeling error at a processing facility has led to the recall of 1,154 cases of Ready Pac brand Bistro Bowl Spinach Dijon Salads because of undeclared allergens.
Missa Bay LLC, Swedesboro, N.J., issued the recall Feb. 10 after the label error was discovered. According to a recall notice from Missa Bay posted on the Food and Drug Administration’s recall site, a limited number of the salads had an incorrect ingredient listing on the bottom of the container that did not list wheat or eggs.
No consumers reported adverse reactions because of the mislabeling.
The salads were distributed to retailers in Connecticut, Georgia, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Virginia.
Use-by dates are Feb. 18, and product lot code is 255588007, printed on the top of the container.
