Early registration underway for CPMA convention in Toronto

(CPMA)

Discounted early-bird registration is available until March 6 for the 2020 CPMA Convention and Trade Show in Toronto, Ontario.

Set for May 12-14 at Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the event will celebrate its 95th year by highlighting the Flavors of the World offered by the global produce community, according to a news release.

“This year’s event focuses on the component of flavor in produce and the effect that the globally interconnected industry has on our evolving tastes,” Mario Masellis, chairman of the 2020 CPMA convention and trade show organizing committee, said in the release. “We expect the entertainment and production at the Convention and Trade Show to ‘wow’ attendees in the same way that spectacular flavors do.”

By purchasing a full delegate registration — discounted by $150 during early bird registration — attendees gain admission to meal functions, social events and educational opportunities, according to the release. The list of events includes the welcome reception, business sessions and awards brunch. The keynote speaker is Chef Massimo Capra.

“The 95th annual CPMA Convention and Trade Show will offer numerous networking and educational opportunities to help businesses flourish,” CPMA president Ron Lemaire said in the release. “CPMA is also excited to showcase the industry-leading projects we’ve been working on over the past year including sustainability, through the Plastics Packaging Roadmap, waste reduction, through our Waste Efficiency Tool, Food Safety, through the Canadian Food Safety Fund, and much more.”
