In-and-outs up at Thomas Produce
Nogales, Ariz.-based Thomas Produce Sales Inc. already is doing a lot of “in-and-out” — or cold storage — business, and owner/president Chuck Thomas expects that substantially more could materialize in the future.
Watermelon season is an especially busy time for the company, he said, since the company often provides storage for overflow from other distributors.
Weather in Mexico has been “pretty wacko” this season, he said, with cucumbers, green beans, corn and other crops affected by cold, rainy conditions.
