New Product Review: Chopped Collection from Eat Smart

Santa Maria, Calif.-based Curation Foods will be featuring its Chopped Collection salad lineup at the Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Exposure.

Stock-keeping units in the line include Sesame Almond Crunch, Apple Gouda, Mediterranean Crunch, Bistro Bacon and Avocado Cheddar Ranch.

“Consumers are looking for more experiential tastes in foods and Eat Smart Chopped Collection brings salads to a whole new level of excitement,” said Nathan Long, marketing manager of digial and creative. “This line of delicious salad kits is inspired by the latest culinary trends, like bright smoky flavors or Mediterranean ingredients, and they delight with a generous amount and variety of toppings for a truly enhanced eating experience.

“These are salad recipes and dressings that consumers wouldn’t think to make, or wouldn’t have ingredients at home to make themselves,” Long said. “Topping-lovers can now rejoice!”

He noted that the lineup tested very well with consumers, “(landing) in the top quartile in purchase interest.”

The items started shipping in January and are available for distribution throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Curation Foods will be exhibiting at Southern Exposure at booth no. 149.
