Indoor Ag-Con, an indoor agriculture conference and trade show, has announced a marketing partnership with the Produce Marketing Association.

Set for May 18-20 in Las Vegas, the 8th annual Indoor Ag-Con conference has more than 50 presenters with backgrounds in business, science and technology, alternative crops, and greenhouse precision agriculture, according to a news release.

The alliance between Indoor Ag-Con and PMA gives PMA members access to the education sessions and exhibit hall for a 20% discount, according to the release.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with the Produce Marketing Association and invite their members to our event to learn from the experts on vertical farming, indoor agriculture, the practice of growing crops in indoor systems, using hydroponic, aquaponic and aeroponic techniques,” Brian Sullivan, co-owner of Indoor Ag-Con LLC, said in the release. “We will also feature an idea-packed panel discussion with PMA’s Vonnie Estes and some of the association’s members detailing business opportunities they see for indoor growers.”

Estes is vice president of technology for PMA, which is sponsoring a session at the event, “Growing Relationships: Selling Your Indoor Crops to Grocery Chains,”  on May 18.

“Indoor farming is an exciting, growing new part of our industry and we look forward to bringing our members access to this industry leading event,” Estes said in the release. “Prior to the event, our members will have access to a PMA Webinar on modern agriculture, which will spotlight Indoor Ag-Con, as well as a 20% discount off the registration for the event. We look forward to this gathering in May 2020 in Las Vegas to explore all new options together.”

Indoor Ag-Con is owned by industry veterans Nancy Hallberg, Kris Sieradzki and Brian Sullivan, according to the release.
