CORRECTED: Produce Alliance promotes Stephanie Fyle in procurement
(CORRECTED) Produce Alliance, Chicago, has promoted Stephanie Fyle to chief procurement officer.
Fyle has experience in all departments of the Produce Alliance, including 17 years in the procurement department, according to a news release. She now is in the same role at the company that her father, Mike Williams, had before retiring recently.
Fyle is known as the primary voice behind the Produce Alliance Market Report, according to the release.
Produce Alliance’s short-term plans include doubling its purchasing power through its new partnership with the Buyers Edge Platform.
In the release, Fyle noted her Produce Alliance mentors, including George Melshenker, Joe Collier, Rob Feldgreber and her father.
“I just feel very fortunate to have lived this life deeply rooted in the produce industry and after being part of all the ups and downs, the wins and losses of Produce Alliance for so many years, and having the opportunity be mentored by the best,” she said in the release.
Note on correction: Mike William was incorrectly identified in the orginal story. The Packer regrets the error.
