Curation Foods rolls out two new Eat Smart salad kit lines

Two new Eat Smart salad kit lines will launch this month: Everyday Favorites and Flavors of the World.

The Everyday Favorites collection includes Avocado Crunch and Homestyle Ranch, while the Flavors of the World lineup includes Thai Style Chile Mango, Asian Sesame, Chile Lime Crunch and Mexican Fiesta, according to a news release. The Everyday Favorites will make their debut in the U.S. with Kroger, while Flavors of the World will start in Canada with Sobeys.

The Flavors of the World lineup may also be available in the U.S. later this year.

“The commitment of Kroger and Sobeys to innovation and velocity in the bagged salad kit category makes them ideal launch partners for the Eat Smart brand,” Jenny Stornetta, marketing director for Curation Foods, which owns the Eat Smart brand, said in the release.

Along with releasing two new salad kit lines, Curation Foods will be running a consumer sweepstakes themed around National Salad Month.

“We wanted to give salad lovers a platform to share their own unique and favorite ways to create and enjoy salads,” Stornetta said in the release.  “We are asking consumers to enter as many different creations as they like. All they have to do is prepare their salad and post it to Instagram, Facebook or Twitter,” tag Eat Smart, and use the #ShareYourSalad hashtag.

Nine participants will receive free salads, and one grand prize winner will release a month’s worth of salads, per the release. The sweepstakes closes May 31.
