United Fresh LIVE! offers new Cornell certificate
A new United Fresh-Cornell University Executive Education certificate program will be delivered during the June 15-19 United Fresh LIVE! event.
Registration is available at bit.ly/UF-certificate for the five-part workshop series, called Leading Through Crisis: The Path Forward for the Fresh Produce Industry.
“Thanks to the Cornell Executive Education team for putting together so quickly such a strong program specifically for the produce industry,” United Fresh president and CEO Tom Stenzel said in a news release.
“We want everyone to be able to afford this program, so have priced it at $400 for United Fresh members, and $600 for non-members.”
Attendees who participate in all five sessions (live or on-demand) will receive a certificate of completion from Cornell University, according to the release.
The five sessions will be led by five Cornell instructors and take place on the United Fresh LIVE! virtual platform with one session each day the week of June 15. The sessions will cover the following, according to the release:
- Values Driven Leadership and Critical Thinking: June 15 from 4-5 p.m. Eastern; Instructor: Risa Mish, professor of practice and management, Cornell SC Johnson College of Business;
- VUCA Leadership (Volatile, Uncertain, Chaotic, and Ambiguous): June 16 from 10:30 a.m. to noon Eastern; Instructor: Gen. George Casey, senior lecturer of management and organizations, Cornell SC Johnson College of Business;
- Planning Supply Chains for Resiliency: June 17 from 11 a.m. to noon Eastern; Instructors: Vishal Gaur, Emerson professor of manufacturing management, Cornell SC Johnson College of Business, and Miguel Gomez, Robert G. Tobin professor of food marketing and director, Cornell Food Industry Management Program;
- Communicating Through a Crisis: June 18 from 11 a.m. to noon Eastern; Instructor: Theomary Karamanis, senior lecturer, management communication, Cornell SC Johnson College of Business; and
- State of the Industry: A Forecast of the Future: June 19 from 11 a.m. to noon Eastern; Instructor: Edward McLaughlin, Robert G. Tobin professor of marketing emeritus, director of the food executive program, Cornell Executive Education, Charles Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management.
