Potatoes USA seeks new board members for 2021-24
Potatoes USA is seeking nominations for 60 open board member seats for the 2020-24 term.
The organization is seeking nominations for growers in these states: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming and Importers.
The state grower organizations have received information to begin nominating growers. The new members’ three-year term begins at the 2021 annual meeting, March 8-11 in Denver, according to a news release. The nomination process will be completed by Aug. 15.
Some of the requirements for the board members are:
- Attend the annual meeting;
- Be active in the potato-farming community;
- Be willing to represent and communicate with constituents on a regular basis; and
- Actively support Potatoes USA programs.
