ProSeal America, Richmond, Va., has a new tray positioning system that eliminates the trial and error usually associated with establishing the spacing of trays in the sealing process.

ProPosition automatically identifies the best position for trays to ensure perfect alignment, according to a news release. The process uses a one-step tool set-up, avoiding the need to run test trays through the sealer to find the best position, according to the company.

ProPosition is a standard option on all new Proseal GT platform machines, and it can be retrofitted to any other machines in the GTe/GTs lines, according to the release.

“The new ProPosition system showcases our incredible engineering innovation and underlines ProSeal’s commitment to being at the forefront of product development and innovation,” Paul Watkin, systems development manager, said in the release. “This pioneering technology helps to minimize downtime, reduce errors and minimize waste to deliver valuable cost savings that will deliver a fast return on investment.”
