Okanagan Specialty Fruits, Summerland, British Columbia, has hired Bob Wilkinson as director of sales.

Wilkinson most recently was regional sales manager for both Lipman Family Farms and Maglio Cos., according to a news release, based in Central Illinois.

Wilkinson has worked in sales management for food brokers and produce suppliers, according to the release.

“Bob brings a strong track record of success in sales, extensive experience in foodservice, and a broad network in the produce supply, processing and distribution industries,” according to the release.

Okanagan Specialty Fruits grows and markets the bio-engineered Arctic brand apples that are non-browning.

“We expect a strong harvest this fall, and we look forward to having Bob on board, to continue to grow the network of grocers, convenience stores and foodservice locations that offer our Arctic apples,” Neal Carter, president and founder of Okanagan Specialty Fruits, said in the release.
