Fox Packaging acquires additional press to meet demand
McAllen, Texas-based Fox Packaging added another Uteco printing press to its dedicated facility.
“Expanding our manufacturing capacity is essential to meet growing customer demand, and it also presents Fox Packaging with an opportunity to make fast turnaround on large print runs,” Lucas Fox, director of operations, said in a news release.
The press has great print quality, changes between jobs fast and can use as many as 10 colors, including the four-color process and Pantone colors.
This Utexo Onyx printing press will help keep the company’s capacity up as older units are phased out.
“This technology visually captures brands’ colors and messaging in a way that catches a consumer’s eye and builds brand recognition and loyalty,” Victoria Lopez, marketing representative, said in the release.
Fox Packaging is a member of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition and an approved printer of the How2Recycle label — “a program that highlights a universal recycling language on packaging to provide consistent recycling information,” Lopez said in the release.
The company develops and distributes flexible packaging solutions for fresh produce packers and shippers throughout North America and Latin America.
