Traveling pop-up grocer features Yes! Apples

A traveling pop-up grocery store will bring its roster of consumer brands, including Yes! Apples, to the trendy Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York.

From Oct. 2 to Nov. 1, Pop Up Grocer will showcase more than 150 brands vetted by founder Emily Schildt and her team, according to a news release.

Yes! Apples is the only fresh-produce brand, Tenley Fitzgerald, vice president of marketing for Glenmont, N.Y.-based New York Apple Sales, said in the release.

Launched in 2019, the apple brand is a multi-channel approach to steer customers to retail through lifestyle content and partnerships online.

“So many shoppers discover new products through channels like Instagram, and we want to meet consumers where they are,” Fitzgerald said in the release.

Developed at Cornell University, SnapDragon will be one of the apple varieties at Pop Up Grocer.

Pop Up Grocer began in 2019 to create a space for unveiling new products, with stores in Los Angeles, Austin and two previous stores in New York.

The stores require masks for entry and enforce safe distancing.

As of August, Pop Up Grocer shifted its donation — 5% of in-store sales — to The Fund. The Fund includes a variety of services and gifts from the Pop Up Grocer team and partners, as well as money.
