Peruvian avocados set for spotlight on Baltimore news channel

Peruvian avocados will be in the spotlight on Baltimore WBAL television channel 11 on Aug. 12.

Set for broadcast at 6:50 a.m. (Eastern), the show will feature four end-of-summer Peruvian avocado dishes, according to a news release.

The Peruvian Brothers — Mario and Giuseppe Lanzone, operators of a catering and food truck company headquartered in Alexandria, Va. — will be the guest chefs on the segment representing Avocados From Peru, according to the release.

The duo will demonstrate how to make crab-stuffed Peruvian avocados and will display other popular dishes including an avocado triple-decker sandwich, avocado ceviche and avocado Causa Rellena.

The Peruvian Brothers were born near Lima, according to the release, and highlight Peruvian foods through their award-winning food truck operation.
