Stemilt quizzes consumers on apples

Stemilt quizzes consumers on apples

Wenatchee, Wash.-based Stemilt Growers has created an apple quiz for consumers to promote the launch of its new variety, Rave.

Those who take the quiz will be entered to win one of the first shipments of Rave, according to the company. Consumers need to take the quiz by Aug. 18 to be eligible.

Rave is in its first season of commercial production, and Stemilt expects about 11,000 cartons of the fruit this year.

The variety harvests early in the season, and Stemilt estimates that shipments will begin Aug. 21.
