Oakley Transport earns food safety, operations certifications

Oakley Transport, Lake Wales, Fla., has received certifications acknowledging the company’s food safety systems and superior operations management.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 and 22000:2005 certifications assure Oakley Transport customers the company the company follows strict criteria for regulation and quality, according to a news release.

“These certifications are stipulations for management systems that focus on superior operations management, food safety and food defense,” according to a news release. “Because of the growing awareness of food transportation hazards, Oakley wanted to prove their methods are safe and reliable.”

The company has a video on its website (www.oakleytransport.com/iso) about the certifications.

Oakley Transport specializes in transportation of liquids, but account manager Ellie Horton said the company hauls fresh citrus within Florida and has fresh produce-dry van division.

Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Ltd., (LRQA), a United Kingdom company, issued the ISO certifications.
