210 Analytics taking survey to benchmark sustainable practices

Consulting firm 210 Analytics has a new survey out to gain a better understanding of sustainable practices in the fresh produce industry.

The survey is available through Oct. 21 and can be accessed here.

“Studies have long documented the growing importance of environmental sustainability among consumers,” said Anne-Marie Roerink, principal of 210 Analytics. “Food waste, package waste, carbon footprint and other sustainability-focused initiatives have become areas of cross-population interest, particularly in Europe. Now we hope to understand the measures the produce industry is taking in response to this growing demand.

“We hope to hear from everyone in the supply chain, from grower-shippers, wholesaler-distributors and retailers, all around the globe, to develop an understanding on where the produce industry is moving,” Roerink said.

The survey takes about five minutes and is designed to produce high-level benchmarks. Participation in the survey is anonymous. Respondents may opt in to receive the report for free once the results are in.

For each survey completion, 210 Analytics will provide 10 meals for families in need through a donation to Feeding America in partnership with Healthy Family Project (formerly Produce for Kids).
