Sev-Rend highlights Bio-Able Solutions

(Sev-Rend)

Packaging supplier Sev-Rend, Collinsville, Ill., highlighted its new Bio-Able Solutions line of products at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit Expo.

The Bio-Able line is an alternative to regular resin-based products, and is formulated to degrade over a period of time to just carbon dioxide, water and biomass, according to Sev-Rend.

“The fresh produce industry is so hands-on that the virtual environment was a difficult hurdle for many, but we made the best of it and got out as much as we put into the event,” said Jeff Watkin, director of marketing. “We found the virtual environment to be interesting as it made demo opportunities to be a little more difficult, but for my sales team they really enjoyed the networking and meeting opportunities the platform supported.”
