Earl’s Organic promotes two in buying positions
Earl’s Organic, San Francisco, has promoted Carson Evers to buyer and Jonathan Kitchens to purchasing manager.
Carson started at Earl’s Organic in mid-2015 as quality assurance/inventory control, according to a news release. After a couple of years in operations, he was promoted to sales representative. Before joining Earl’s Organic, Evers was a retail sales coordinator for Driscoll’s.
“Carson has continued to lend a hand in operations and other areas as needed,” according to a news release. “He has great knowledge of the business from his experience in different departments.”
Kitchens has been at Earl’s Organic for 2 ½ years as a fruit buyer. Before that, he was the produce buyer for the Good Earth Natural Foods stores in Marin County, Calif. He began his produce career in the late 1990s as a driver for The Box — Bay Area Organic Xpress, an organic home delivery service.
“Jonathan is passionate about Earl’s, organic agriculture and sustainability,” according to the release. “His knowledge and his personal commitment to our industry makes him uniquely suited for this new role in the purchasing team.”
