USDA appoints three to Mushroom Council

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has appointed three members to the Mushroom Council.

The new members have three-year terms that start on Jan. 1, according to a news release.

They are:

Curtis Jurgensmeyer, Miami, Oklahoma, Region 1 (all states except California and Pennsylvania);
Joe Caldwell, Wyomissing, Pa., Region 2 (Pennsylvania); and
Jane Rhyno, Ontario, Canada, Region 4 (importers).

The nine-member council is comprised of eight domestic growers and one importer. The members represent four regions: three growers from Region I, four growers from Region 2, one grower from Region 3 (California) and one importer.
