GDUSA’s 57th American Graphic Design Awards® announced their 2020 award recipients, and The Produce Moms® and Applewood Fresh® won in the category of packaging graphic design for their co-branded apple bags featuring eye-catching artwork and offering consumers a virtual field trip to a Michigan apple orchard.

Over 10,000+ companies entered this year’s GDUSA awards submissions.  The Produce Moms® and Applewood Fresh® began shipping their award winning co-branded apple bags in November.

Lori Taylor, CEO and Founder of The Produce Moms explains that “We’re glad to have the produce industry represented with the other recipients of this award.  The Produce Moms and Applewood Fresh knew we had a winner with consumers with our co-branded apple bag featuring the virtual field trip, but this recognition puts us, and the produce industry, in the company of Fortune 500’s with huge consumer followings.”

“When Applewood Fresh joined forces with The Produce Moms to develop a package for our special Michigan apples, we did it to provide added value to our retail customers.  Winning this award and being recognized with companies that have a huge footprint with the consumer such as Colgate-Palmolive and PepsiCo is fantastic,” says Antonia Mascari, Vice President of Marketing for Applewood Fresh.

The Produce Moms and Applewood Fresh join a prestigious list of winners of GDUSA’s 2020 Awards including AARP, Airbnb, Altria, Amazon, American Bar Association, Anthropologie, Arizona State University, Bank of America, Brigham & Women's Hospital, Bosch, Bumble Bee Foods, Carhartt, CBRE/Coldwell Banker, Citibank, Colgate-Palmolive, Dairy Farmers of America, DiGiorno Pizza, English Speaking Union, European Union, Formica, Gates Foundation, Hammonds Candies, Hilton Hotels, IBM/Red Hat, Japanese Art Society of America, Konica Minolta, Lipton, LIFEWTR, Macy's, Mass General Hospital, Mass Mutual, Memorial Sloan Kettering, Model Cities, Munchkin, Nest, Ortega Foods, PepsiCo, Pernod Ricard, Purdue University, RISD, Southern Poverty Law Center, SVA, Uline, United Bankers Bank, Walgreens, WD-40, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Zenith Electronics, and many more.
