Fortress Technology adds line of Raptor checkweighers
Fortress Technology, which specializes in metal detection equipment for packing lines, has launched a line of checkweighers.
The company debuted the three machines in November during the virtual Pack Expo. They market under the Raptor brand, according to a news release.
The line consists of:
- A single-frame standalone checkweigher;
- A combination metal detector and checkweigher; and
- An extra-large caseweighing system for ingredient and big bag applications.
The compact machines incorporate the latest smart processing technology, and require no tools to maintain.
“This is a breakthrough advancement for the North American food inspection market that applies unseen technology to improve process efficiency,” Fortress Technology President Steve Gidman said in the release. “Raptor is a premium weight control solution that can be integrated with or without a metal detector, at the best price point.”
The Raptor checkweighers capture sample readings by the millisecond, allowing for continuous data capture and analytics.
“Using Raptor’s digital data capture feature, manufacturers can pinpoint upstream operational deficiencies, including overfilling of packs, processing and packaging waste,” Matthew Gidman, Raptor sales engineer, said in the release.
