The Packer’s GOPEX expands with two organic shows in 2021
The Packer’s Global Organic Produce Expo (GOPEX) has been reinvented for 2021, offering organic fresh produce buyers and suppliers two chances to engage in this increasingly important segment of the industry.
GOPEX will maintain its late-January presence with an online event, GOPEX Home, featuring exciting and interactive entertainment, thought leadership from key industry professionals and a unique program that attendees and sponsors will be talking about all year. In addition to networking sessions that include a virtual escape room and a BYOP (Bring Your Own Pet) happy hour, the January 25-29 online event will offer the quality educational programming and BizMatch meetings for which GOPEX is well known.
“Ensuring the health and safety of our event participants is always our first priority, followed closely by delivering premium fresh produce education and cutting-edge experiences,” said Matt Morgan, executive vice president of produce for Farm Journal. “We believe that offering two GOPEX events in 2021 is the best way to accomplish both, while also doubling the exposure for the organics segment and its players.”
A second, in-person event, GOPEX Go, will be in August, with dates and location to be announced soon. The event will feature a more intimate outdoor expo/golf tournament format for 100 of the most influential retail and wholesale buyers in organic fresh produce. The in-person event will include BizMatch meetings, exhibits and social activities that will deliver exclusive sponsorship opportunities and deeper connections among all participants.
The Packer’s BizMatch meeting scheduler will be offered the full week of the online event in January, as well as during the in-person event in August, and will pair organics suppliers with qualified retail and wholesale buyers. GOPEX also will continue to partner with the Organic Trade Association to present the most current and relevant data and actionable insights to companies throughout the organic supply chain.
Show organizers will announce a full lineup of speakers and sessions in the coming weeks, and limited sponsorships are available. To learn more about the program and register for the free virtual event, go to www.globalorganicproduceexpo.com.
