How has the lettuce market come through 2020?
I have assembled a series of charts that endeavor to tell at least part of the story.
Some of the shipment levels reported from California strike me as remarkably similar to a year ago, leading me to think the variation in demand caused by COVID-19 lockdowns did not prevent shipments from occurring, though destinations have changed. 2020 pricing was elevated at times but much lower than year-ago levels at the start of the pandemic. What will 2021 bring?
