Genuine Coconut has launched three products in North America.

The fresh organic products — coconut chunks, toppings and grated coconut — are intended to be displayed in refrigerated sections of the fresh produce department.

They are available in resealable pouches and have a 60-day shelf life, according to a news release. They are fair trade certified through Fair for Life.

“After watching the excitement surrounding our coconut water offerings and recognizing there was a clear gap in the coconut meat category for fresh, ready-to-eat options, we knew we wanted to create offerings that would fill that gap and align with our premium brand values of health and convenience,” Carlos Amoros, who founded Genuine Coconut, said in the release.

The coconut products align with Keto diets.

The coconut chunks come in 4-ounce packs and are ideal for snacking, blending into smoothies or adding to fruit salads, according to the company. The coconut toppings, in 6-ounce packs, are ideal for yogurt, salads, ice cream and more. Grated coconut comes in 5-ounce packs and can easily be added as an ingredient to baked goods and curries.

The three Genuine Coconut products also come in 16-ounce packs for foodservice operations, according to the release.

“We have been in partnership with Genuine Coconut the last few years and look forward to continuing to grow this amazing brand in the North American market with these exciting new products,” George Shropshire, general manager of Love Beets USA, said in the release. “The three items not only boast great health attributes, but they also provide great usage versatility for consumers.”

The company also has two whole fresh organic coconut products, Select and Eat & Drink. The latter is easily cracked open after the coconut water is consumed, allowing consumers to eat the meat. The coconuts are from Thailand.

The company has offices in New York, the United Kingdom and Spain.
