Calavo Growers changes organizational structure

Santa Paula, Calif.-based Calavo Growers Inc. announced multiple changes to its organization, the first of which is the merging of internal divisions Calavo and Renaissance Food Group.

“Through the merging of our internal divisions, we are able to leverage the legacy and expertise of the Calavo brand with the innovation and influence of RFG to form one cohesive, industry-leading enterprise,” Jim Gibson, CEO, said in a news release. 

Cheryl Enlow has been promoted to vice president of food safety and quality assurance, according to the release. Enlow will now oversee the company’s avocado and guacamole divisions as well as Renaissance Food Group.

Omar Martinez has been promoted to vice president of continuous improvement. As part of that role, Martinez will lead Calavo’s environmental health and safety and workers compensation teams.

Marc Fallini has been promoted to vice president of fresh operations under the Calavo fresh avocado business. Also, Don Johnson will lead Calavo’s purchasing and logistics initiatives.
