BCI’s Matt Lantz joins Council on Foreign Relations

Matt Lantz, vice president for global access for Seattle-based Bryant Christie Inc., has been accepted as a lifetime member by the Council of Foreign Relations.

Founded in 1921, the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is an independent, nonpartisan membership organization. The CFR is a think tank and a resource to help members better understand the world and the foreign policy choices facing the U.S. and other countries, according to a news release.

By joining the council, the release said Lantz is being recognized as a leading voice in the country on international agriculture trade policy issues.  As part of the CFR, he will represent consulting firm Bryant Christie and provide a voice on international agriculture trade to the leaders of foreign policy in the U.S., according to the release.

Members of CFR, according to the release, include Former Secretaries of State Condoleezza Rice, James Baker, Madeline Albright, and Henry Kissinger, Former Secretary of the Treasury Robert E. Rubin, author and CNN host Fareed Zakaria, and actor Angelina Jolie. More information on the group can be found at www.cfr.org.
