Interfresh adds Lisa Cabuto

Interfresh, Inc., has hired industry veteran Lisa Cabuto to join the company’s sales team at their Orange, Calif., sales offices. 

Cabuto has more than 25 years of produce industry experience to the new position, including positions in the wholesale trade, grower/shipper community, distributor/marketer community and as a retail buyer, according to a news release.  Cabuto will be working to expand the firm’s sales across multiple commodities, utilizing her deep product knowledge and grower and customer relationships, according to the release.

“Lisa is an accomplished produce professional and brings to us a great breadth of experience,”  Chris Puentes, Interfresh president, said in the release.

“Because she has worked at multiple points in the produce supply chain, she is uniquely qualified to bring value to both our growers and our customers.  She will be focused initially on avocados and tomatoes, but over time will expend to other core commodities of the company.”

Interfresh handles an extensive line of fresh products including corn, asparagus, pineapple, yams, sweet potatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, grapes and soft fruit, according to the release.

“I’ve worked with the Interfresh team in the past in some of my other positions, and I’m excited to join the company,” Cabuto said in the release. “I look forward to utilizing my knowledge and experience to help expand their reach to foodservice, retail and wholesale companies across the country.”
