The Packer seeks nominations for the Canadian Produce Person of the Year

(The Packer)

The Packer is seeking nominations for its annual Canadian Produce Person of the Year award, which will be presented virtually later this year.

Nominations are due by May 15, and the nomination form is available online.

Each year this award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated excellence in the produce industry, including through community engagement and relationships with business partners.

The individual may represent any area of the Canadian produce industry, including private, government or allied sectors.

The Packer has been presenting this award to outstanding members of the industry for 48 years.

Last year, The Packer’s 2020 Canadian Produce Person of the Year award was presented virtually to Oleen Smethurst, assistant vice president and general merchandise manager for Costo Wholesale Canada.

For questions about the award, contact Tom Karst, editor of The Packer, at news@thepacker.com.
